OUR GOALS
Mongolian-Canadian Project
The project was initiated in 2015 with the goal of education and the provision of care to those Mongolians who may have difficulty accessing care due to geographic and/or economic barriers. The projects, within the scope of LSF resources, are determined by the Ministry of Health and medical community.
The focus of our work has been
Primary objectives are
to enhance medical education & training
improve access to medical care in remote areas
establish continuing medical education for practicing physicians and nurses

Looking ahead
Our objectives for the next five years:
Break down barriers to accessing healthcare
Develop sustainable programs capable of reaching remote areas of Mongolia
Provide high quality patient care in a safe and supportive environment with respect to the customs and traditions of Mongolia
Provide comprehensive education and valuable medical and surgical experience in Residency Programs
Provide sub-specialty training (Fellowship) to successful graduates of Residency Programs as determined by Mongolian healthcare partners in collaboration with Laurel Surgical Foundation and the University of British Columbia
